Fingerplays:

Puppies and Kittens

One little, two little, three little kittens were napping in the sun. (hold up three fingers of left hand, then fold them down)

One little, two little, three little puppies said, “Let’s have some fun.” (hold up three fingers of right hand)

Up to the kittens the puppies went creeping, as quiet as could be… (walk right hand fingers up to left hand, then BARK!)

One little, two little, three little kittens went scampering up a tree! (straighten left hand fingers and quickly climb them upward)

Puppy’s Doghouse

This is puppy’s doghouse, (make peak over head with hands)

This is puppy’s bed, (hold hands together w/palms up)

This is puppy’s pan of milk, where he can be fed. (make palms into bowl shape)

This is puppy’s collar, (place hands at neck)

His name is on it, too. (nod head)

Take a stick and throw it (pretend to throw stick)

And he’ll bring it back to you! (clap hands)

Craft: Fishbowl with Stamps and Sand

Cut a large fishbowl and fish from construction paper. Glue the paper fish in place, then use fish and shell stamps to add some friends. Spread a thin layer of glue at the bottom of the fishbowl and sprinkle with colored sand. Shake off the extra, and you’re done!
