Fingerplays:

Five Silly Turkeys (Salina Yoon)

(hold up five fingers, and make motions match words)

Five silly turkeys dancing on the floor.

One twirls away, and then there are four.

Four silly turkeys being chased by a bee.

One gets stung, and then there are three.

Three silly turkeys enjoying the view.

One falls asleep, and then there are two.

Two silly turkeys getting some sun.

One gets burnt, and then there is one.

One silly turkey looking for some fun.

“Happy Thanksgiving!” yells everyone.

Eat an Apple

Eat an apple,   (bring hand to mouth)

Save the core,   (close hand into fist)

Plant the seeds,   (bend down and touch ground)

And grow some more!   (extend both arms out like a tree)

Craft:

Coffee Filter Turkey: Fold a coffee filter in half and glue together. Color one side of the filter with watercolor markers. Cut a turkey body (bowling pin shape) out of brown paper and glue it on top of the filter/tail. Add eyes, a beak, and a wattle. Place your turkey on a paper plate and spritz the coffee filter with water so the tail colors run together making a unique and beautiful design!
