Two Little Blackbirds

Two little blackbirds sitting on a hill, (hold index fingers up)

One named Jack and the other named Jill. (wiggle one, then the other)

Fly away Jack, fly away Jill. (fly fingers behind back one at a time)

Come back Jack, come back Jill. (fly fingers back to front)

Two little blackbirds sitting on a pole,

One named High and the other named Low. (hold one finger high, the other one low)

Fly away High, fly away Low.

Come back High, come back Low.

Two little blackbirds sitting on a pole,

One named Fast and the other named Slow. (move one finger quickly, the other slowly)

Fly away Fast, fly away Slow.

Come back Fast, come back Slow.

Two little blackbirds sitting on a gate,

One named Early and the other named Late. (make one finger appear early, wait for the late one)

Fly away Early, fly away Late.

Come back Early, come back Late…

Let’s Build a Scarecrow

First some pants, (touch pants)

Then a shirt of red, (touch shirt)

Gloves for the hands, (wiggle hands)

And a big stuffed head! (touch head)

Buttons for eyes, (point to eyes)

A pointy nose, (touch nose)

And a mouth made of stitches

In two smiling rows! (point to mouth and smile)

One Little Leaf (count with fingers)

One little leaf,

Two little leaves,

Three little leaves today.

Four little leaves,

Five little leaves,

Blow them all away! (blow fingers and flutter them into the air)

Craft: Leaf Headband

Cut a strip of construction paper 24 inches long and 2 inches wide for the headband. Cut leaves out of construction paper in red, yellow, orange and brown. Glue several leaves onto the headband. Color with markers, then attach the ends of headband with tape or staples to fit.
